PROJECT
A comprehensive ceramics manufacturer, Nippon Tokushu Toryo has expanded its business with a focus on automotive-related businesses, including spark plugs, which are used to ignite gasoline, and exhaust gas sensors, which detect the state of exhaust gas when a car is running. Based on the technological capabilities cultivated in these businesses, the company is expanding its activities into medical-related businesses and other fields, contributing to society in a variety of fields.
In its long-term management plan, NSSC has established the goal of achieving a business portfolio shift by expanding its business in the four domains of environment and energy, mobility, medical care, and information and telecommunications. In line with this, the English trade name was changed to “Niterra Co., Ltd.” (read: Niterra) on April 1, 2023, a word coined by combining the Latin word “niteo,” meaning “shining,” and “terra,” meaning the earth. The new English company name expresses our desire to contribute to a sustainable society and become a company that brightens the earth. In addition, a group logo as the “Niterra Group” was also to be established, and on this memorable occasion, BRAVIS was in charge of developing the group logo and corporate logo. Several logo proposals were developed based on the history of NITERRA and what the company should aspire to be in the future. After discussions, the logo chosen was a word mark that combines straight and curved lines to express the company’s history and the image of a next-generation company that will evolve beyond its past. The corporate color is “earth green,” which represents the color of the earth as seen from space, and the “i” is “shine yellow,” which represents a presence that illuminates society and the earth, creating a logo design that strongly conveys the Niterra Group’s vision. In addition, we have also created a manual book (in Japanese and English) that outlines the rules for the use of the “Niterra Nippon Tokushu Tokushu Toryo” corporate logo and corporate slogan “IGNITE YOUR SPIRIT” for use in Japan, to provide visual consistency at all times. We have also created a manual book (in Japanese and English) that outlines the rules for use of the corporate logo and slogan.
